I've been using the default Access DB. Any reason I shouldn't convert to Postgres?

A couple of questions about these queries.
1) If I don't add a date will it query entire database?
2) With set over set is that for pocket pairs turned into sets or can it be pair onboard that is trips?

I asked those questions because I have more set over set wins and losses than total sets. Did I do something wrong or am I reading the data wrong?

It's worth mentioning that dates can be entered in the more user-friendly format of d mmm yyyy eg '1 sep 2005'. This implies 1 Sep 2005 00:00:00, so will return data from and including the first of September onwards.
