"Moving" PT to a different comp

Postby TightWad » Thu Aug 04, 2005 10:05 pm

Okay, here's the situation. My computer is pretty whacked, and I need to do a complete restore thingy to it. I can move my database over to another computer that's networked with this one and then move it back when I'm done, but I need to make sure that I'm saving the correct files before I lose all the stuff on my computer.

(1) I saw the file HHDB.MDB in my pokertracker folded. Is this the database? Do I need any other files?

(2) When I reinstall PT on this computer, is it a simple matter of just sliding that file back into the PT folder?

Thanks in advance!

TW
I got a new PC a while back (thanks to a lot of advice from this forum!)

Anyway, I am by no means a PC geek, quite the opposite! I can at least point you in the right direction...the FAQ section on the PT site has these answers.

1. I forget the exact file(s) you have to bring over to the new PC but that is step 1

2. You do have to PM that guy Pat once your new PC is up and you have re-downloaded PT...to get you knew 'key'

sorry i cannot be of more help but if i could do it, anyone can!
