Comments on my crazy play? My play was based on bad guy continually calling down with crap. This seemed to be even more true if you bet fast, if that makes sense. Turn was my biggest worry obviously but I had seen player bluff and bluff and bluff. Even so he could have it this time. Results to follow.

Preflop, I'd almost want to just call and trap here, but that's kinda situation specific I guess and with a sherriff in town I understand the raise.

The flop is great for you, definitely agree with you potting it there. Not sure if slowing down on the turn helped or hurt you here, I guess it will depend on what he has. I can't see a sherriff folding any hand with a K in it, so the flat call works for me.

If it's a full ring table then I'd worry about something like A23K kicking my ass, but you can't really put a guy on anything nearly that good when heads up in the blinds. No question about the call on the river to me.

Hopefully he has trip kings and no low. If you got scooped here then that is just plain brutal. I wouldn't characterize any of your play as crazy, tho. The turn call is the only thing questionable perhaps, but not in the situation you are describing.

Turn's a little iffy, but OK given description of villain. Rest fine.

yeah... i love the line in this hand.

i like putting the pressure on the SB pf. it's also good to build the pot. this is a hand that can stack a foolish SB.

flop... i've got a woody and will put as much money in as possible.

turn... lost the woody, but just call. the river could bring a lot of blanks, and i can save a lot of my stack if villain puts me in. frankly, this smacks of either a low draw betting a scare card or a bare K (maybe a boat) -- and both of these call a potential raise if he's a sheriff. i am completely NOT scared of a four-card hand that gives villain a boat and an A2 low draw -- i'll pay off that hand in the SB.

river ... gin! his bet makes me think A2 or boat. i put him in if he doesn't do it for me.


why do you call this play "crazy"? then again, i thought you were going to "tighten up" on the 100s due to your recent slump.

There's a big difference between someone who calls down with crap and someone who leads out for the pot when the top card pairs on the turn. That's not a move I would expect from a chronic caller, and I wouldn't be happy about it. Still, you had a nice enough draw that as long as he isn't already full then you'll at least have odds to call and see a river and you may well be ahead with the nut two-pair. The river card was great obviously, and shoving the rest in there is easy.
