I think anyone would bet that flop Rhound...including Cloutier. Th's not a bet to see where you're at..that's a bet to win the pot.

Though isn't almost any bet, a bet to win the pot. Especially in an unraised pot. My point is that any time I bet, I'm betting to win the pot, there are very few occasions where I'm not betting to win a pot, if I am going to put in a small enough bet that everyone has odds to call most likely I'm not going to check. In this pot I am happy to take down the pot, but what I really want to know is if I even have outs. If I get a caller and my A hits am I good?What about if my 7 hits??? Or am I pretty much drawing dead to two perfect cards.

Your proving TJ's point for him it sounds like to me. He's saying always bet to win the pot, not because you think your behind and just want to make sure.
