jamming the nut low draw on the flop (2000plo8)

Postby Kuso » Sun Apr 02, 2006 4:52 am

OK, here's another 2000plo8 observed hand (a while back).

one of the players was yasnovid, so i'm not sure what the read is.

from memory...

it's raised up pf, and two or three see the flop.

flop comes 38Jr. someone bets pot, it gets to HU (if it wasn't already), and then it's raise, reraise, and reraise all-in. all pot pets.

i figured that they both had A2, and one person hit their side card for TP. that, or someone had AA2 and was going to town.

anyway, they BOTH turned over A24Q and split the pot.

what was the thinking here? if i raise or reraise, he might fold a weak low with a weak but made high (e.g., TP with A4 for low)?

once all the money got in, i would have been certain that i was getting quartered unless and A or 2 hit or i hit something runner runner for high.

anyway, this post and the other 2000plo8 hand are going somewhere.... i have a bigger "theory" post to come.
