Im a new LO8 player who just moved up to .5/1. Im wondering, if I was hero in this hand, how bad folding the flop would be? My reason for folding the flop would be I don't have the nut flush and any A2 has a better low. I know its heads up in this hand and villian probably doesn't have A2 with our read on his pre-flop raise.

I usually only continue in my game with a draw to the nuts in either direction that could scoop. Im in the red 4 BB/100 in this game however. (small sample)

SNGfan, normally I would do as you say, especially in multiway pots where drawing to the second nuts can be expensive.
However, the player in this hand was most likely raising to isolate me; if he had a good A2 hand he'd probably flat call in order to build a big pot. I don't thnk I can give up on the flop that easily; then I am going to get steamrolled from then on. So, whereas of course I'd like to win the hand, it is also important for me that he knows that if he's going to play back at me with marginal hands then it's going to cost him a few bets.
His flop continuation bet is standard. I thought my low draw would be good, and that he would at best have a medium hand for high. Thus it is not so much about how strong my hand is on this board, but about how to get him to fold his marginal hand...
