I'm dealt [Qh]. Folded to me I raise to $8 preflop. A good, winning player, calls the raise in the SB

I still have nothing. Opponent checks. I bet $32. Opponent thinks, thinks, and folds.

What do you guys think?

I love it. Kings and aces on flop are big scarecards. I always bet on flop if I raised preflop and a king flops (unless 3 loose players called my preflop raise). And if turn is a king or an ace I like to continue even if I missed. But only if I know opponent is a player who will call with a hand like 88 on a ragged flop to see if the raiser will bet again on turn. And there are alot of these players. I sometimes do it myself. Just don't want to fold the best hand but I think it's a -ev play.
It is a little dangerous here becuase SB could hold a nine but I think he will fold more than enough to make the turn bet +ev. And if he raises you don't have a tough decision to make when you have unimproved AQ - it's an easy fold. Would you bet the turn if you actually had AK?

I like this bet on the turn, at this point in the hand you definately figure your opponent for a pocket pair unless he called your pre-flop raise with a 9 or a 6, but I doubt he would do this though considering he is a good winning player and is out of position in the SB, good players will usually tighten up when out of position. But, unless he had AA or KK (note: he didn't re-raise before the flop) that K definately scared him on the turn, with QQ or lower (which is what you put him on i assume) that is an awfully tough board to call a big bet on the turn with, so that means you might as well go ahead and bet big. Against a loose player I probably don't make this bet for obvious reasons, but I make this bet 100% of the time against a good player. Nice Bet.

What I like more than the play itself is the the choice of what player to bluff at.
