Played in the Paradise PPC WSOP tourney tonight trying to repeat Allstars feat of last week. Was going fairly well, I had about 1800 chips when I got AA. Managed to get allin preflop against 2 people. One with K7o and one with A9o. Fugger who called my allin with A9o hits a runner runner straight to put me out in something like 650th I think. Something like 851 started that tourney I think. I was pissed.

I then decided to play in the FreeMillion freeroll tourney. About 1800 people in this one. Top 9 get a seat in the July 22nd FreeMillion tourney for which 1st prize is, wait for it.... 1 Million Dollars. So I get down to the top 50 or 60 and because of a previous loss 2 hands before I am now at about 10xBB in chips. I get AKo UTG and go allin. Of course, instead of letting me have the blinds, the button decides to call my allin with Q9 sooooooted. Then proceeds to flop his flush. Bye bye, nice having ya over. Glad you wasted 4 fuckin hours with us! SHIT!!!!

Awe well, I decided to play some NL100 after that to make up for the $4 Stars loss I had at lunchtime. MVP showed up and proceeded to take a huge beating and is now contemplating suicide I think. It really was awful too. He had AA, hits top set on flop, then gets rivered by a runner runner str8 to take his stack. Looked a lot like how my first tourney ended. 'Cept he lost $100 and all I lost was 4 hours and 1000 players club points. Although, with the winrate I had tonight in NL100, those 4 hours I spent in the tourney only to get pitched out on my ear just before the end would have been worth about $100 or more had I been in a ring game. But the chance to play for a WSOP seat was definitely worth the time and effort. I actually felt like I played really well and if not for a long shot bad beat, I may have made the final table or 2. I'm gonna keep trying til I run out of points.

Todays Stats:

PokerStars 1/2 Limit FR, 8 hands, 5 minutes, -$4.00

Paradise Poker NL100, 2 tabling, 141 hands, 145 minutes, $95.75

Didn't really feel much like playing for real money tonight after dinner so I decided to play some small stakes Triple Draw at UB just for the hell of it. Had a great time even though I lost a couple of bucks over all for the day. I guess if youre gonna snap a 5 day winning streak, it's better to do it with a -$7 amount than it is -$200 like it has been on more times than I care to recall.

So anyway, even though I really only played one session tonight where I was trying to make money here are todays stats.

Todays Stats:

WasaPoker 1/2€ FR Limit, 152 hands, 138 minutes, $2.15

UltimateBet Triple Draw, 335 hands, 326 minutes, -$12.85

RB: 0
Bonus: $2.88

Bonus Progress:

Cleared $2.88 in bonus dollars at UB

Earned another 40 VIP's at WasaPoker bringing my total to 1025 out of 3001

Not too much to say today. Got advice. Gave advice. Won some, Lost more. Learned that I've started becoming an icon here at BTP for the wrong reasons. Actually I don't know if icon is the correct term. But the fact that I have been present in one way or another at more than one persons decent sized losses seems to have become cause for a term to be created to describe it. MVP says I should be kinda honored by it. Well, if it's an honor then it's a weird one. I don't mind though I suppose.

Got Advice:
Play lower stakes at PL 5 card draw until I have the learning of the game done. - PiersMajestyk

Gave Advice:

I found these 2 conversations rather amusing when I reread them.

Advice from me to Kuso:

MizorKing (12:56:02 AM): dude, i so sebbed tunkpirate
MizorKing (12:56:11 AM): how does one deseb himself?
SebQtaneus (12:56:17 AM): lol, I read about it
MizorKing (12:56:28 AM): i sebbed xas too
MizorKing (12:56:31 AM): it's a curse
MizorKing (12:56:34 AM): i wish it on no one
MizorKing (12:57:31 AM): hey... my computer is cramping up....
SebQtaneus (12:57:40 AM): Give it a Midol.
MizorKing (12:57:39 AM): i'll be right back after i restart
SebQtaneus (12:58:02 AM): go bath in an icy river, take a steam with gay men, then do a self 2nd cut on your circumcision. That should probably deseb you.
MizorKing (12:58:17 AM): and the other way is....?
SebQtaneus (12:58:26 AM): sorry, no other way
MizorKing (12:58:35 AM): well, looks like i'm stuck with it
SebQtaneus (12:58:43 AM): yeah, me 2

Advice from me to Xaston:

Giantgrwth (11:25:40 PM): Have you seen march of the penguins
SebQtaneus (11:25:50 PM): yes
Giantgrwth (11:25:54 PM): good?
SebQtaneus (11:25:58 PM): fairly
SebQtaneus (11:26:08 PM): worth watching
SebQtaneus (11:26:24 PM): watch directors cut not theatrical version
Giantgrwth (11:28:28 PM): whats the difference?
SebQtaneus (11:28:52 PM): the directors cut shows more of the reality of penguin baby mortality rate.
SebQtaneus (11:29:13 PM): theatrical version had to be able to not give kiddies nightmares
Giantgrwth (11:29:22 PM): lol
SebQtaneus (11:30:01 PM): weird fukkin birds I tell ya

Giantgrwth (11:54:50 PM): do you drink much tea?
SebQtaneus (11:54:55 PM): no
SebQtaneus (11:55:16 PM): lol, what a weird question.
Giantgrwth (11:55:20 PM): lol
Giantgrwth (11:55:34 PM): I'm about to turn 20, no longer a teenager, so I'm trying to become more sophisticated
SebQtaneus (11:55:43 PM): I like kool aid made with Splenda
Giantgrwth (11:55:55 PM): KOOL-AID!? If it matters, Purple, Orange, Green and Red. In that order.
Giantgrwth (11:55:56 PM): you
SebQtaneus (11:56:03 PM): I'm 40 and trying the opposite
Giantgrwth (11:56:03 PM): you're not helping me become sophisticated!
Giantgrwth (11:56:07 PM): lol
SebQtaneus (11:56:16 PM):
Giantgrwth (11:56:29 PM): I think this is going in my profile
SebQtaneus (11:56:33 PM): lol

SebQtaneus (11:57:35 PM): what makes you think you need to be more sophisticated?
Giantgrwth (11:58:53 PM): being sophistcated is cool!
Giantgrwth (11:59:01 PM): Drinking tea and reading a book by a fireplace and shit
SebQtaneus (11:59:07 PM): but being cool, is sophisticated - GOD THAT ONE'S DEEP!!! LOL
SebQtaneus (11:59:41 PM): no, that shit is Norman Rockwell.
SebQtaneus (12:00:12 AM): Go to Cigar and Wine tastings
SebQtaneus (12:00:38 AM): drive an early 60's Jag
SebQtaneus (12:00:50 AM): dress nattily
Giantgrwth (12:00:52 AM): I don't have money for cars like that anymore
SebQtaneus (12:01:12 AM): use a money clip when you have money
Giantgrwth (12:01:19 AM): done
Giantgrwth (12:01:22 AM): I got it from partypoker!
SebQtaneus (12:01:25 AM): wear a shirt and tie to nice dinners
SebQtaneus (12:02:52 AM): dress really nice when playing live tourney's like that european dude that wears his hat inside out. Just dont do the hat part
Giantgrwth (12:03:05 AM): Marcel Luske
SebQtaneus (12:03:08 AM): yeah him
Giantgrwth (12:03:12 AM): I wear button down shirts when I play live usually
SebQtaneus (12:03:18 AM): I knew it was lu something
SebQtaneus (12:05:08 AM): open doors for women. Use good manners. Be clean.
SebQtaneus (12:05:16 AM): These are sophisticated things.
Giantgrwth (12:05:23 AM): The other day I picked up Kara when it was raining
SebQtaneus (12:05:29 AM): did it hurt
SebQtaneus (12:05:31 AM): jk
Giantgrwth (12:05:33 AM): and I brought an umbrella to the door and everything

SebQtaneus (12:10:31 AM): you already eat sophisticated. I think you've read sophisticated. Why do you feel you need to do anything more than what you are already doing to become sophisticated? Now, if you aren't doing the manners, clean, and dress nice things, then you do need to start if you want to appear sophisticated but as far as BEING sophisticated, only you will know if you are or not.
SebQtaneus (12:11:19 AM): unless of course you aren't and then everybody will surely know it! LOL
Giantgrwth (12:13:03 AM): lol

Well, let me start off by saying that I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter today. Mine was pretty "meh" right up until about 20 minutes before I quit playing. More on that in a bit.

Played a bit more PL 5 Card Draw today and while I lost money doing it again, I did make a decent amount of progress in my understanding of that game I think. And that would seem to be born out by the much lower loss from that game today as compared to the last couple days. I finally realized a major leak that I had and since I plugged it, I actually won money. Too bad I was in the hole up to that point as I never quite got all the way out before I had to leave for Easter Dinner at the inlaws. But I would have I'm sure of it. And that's a nice sign of progress to me.

I played in a freeroll tourney at Paradise tonight that I had gained entry to by depositing $50 into my account. The top 100 finishers got a seat in next weeks final. The prize for the top 9 finishers in that tourney is that they get to be in a movie with Burt Reynolds called "Deal". So anyway, when we hit the 100 mark, I was safely in about 30th position and, hopefully, I get to be in a movie sometime in the near future. Longshot I guess, but hey, you never know right?

Played a bunch today but wasn't really doing all that great until after the tourney. That's when I decided to do some NL100 4 tabling at Paradise. Made up for all my earlier losses and also a nice tidy profit for the day. Most of it came on this hand:

Paradise Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $43.40
UTG+1: $131.20
SebQtaneus: $157.50
MP1: $53.00
MP2: $85.35
MP3: $57.50
CO: $94.75
Button: $63.20
SB: $92.95
BB: $178.50

Pre-flop: (10 players) SebQtaneus is UTG+2 with [4d] [4h]
UTG calls $1 (pot was $1.5), UTG+1 folds, SebQtaneus calls $1 (pot was $2.5), MP1 folds, MP2 calls $1 (pot was $3.5), 3 folds, SB calls $0.5 (pot was $4.5), BB checks.

Flop: [4c] [2s] [3h] ($5, 5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, SebQtaneus bets $4, MP2 folds, SB calls $4 (pot was $9), BB calls $4 (pot was $13), UTG folds.

Turn: [Kd] ($17, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, SebQtaneus bets $16, SB calls $16 (pot was $33), BB calls $16 (pot was $49).

River: [Kh] ($65, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, SebQtaneus bets $30, SB raises to $60, BB calls $60 (pot was $155), SebQtaneus raises all-in $106.5, SB calls all-in $11.95, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: $34.55 returned to SebQtaneus.

Results:
Final pot: $268.9
I don't know why the converter doesn't show what he had but it was a pair of 2's for bottom set against my 4's for top set on the flop. Of course they both turned into boats and I kinda started crappin my pants when he raised me to $60 on the river. I woulda gone ballistic if he had turned over K2 or somethin stupid like that. I'm almost positive that the BB who folded the river probably had to cut off his hand to keep from calling that bet as just 6 hands earlier this had happened and I'm sure he wanted to look me up: (I used the bison bison converter for this one)

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed)

saw flop|saw showdown

MP1 ($68.70)
MP2 ($93.95)
MP3 ($218.40)

Hero ($97.00)
BB ($55.00)
UTG ($91.50)
UTG+1 ($59.00)
UTG+2 ($99.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Kh], [Kd]. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG raises to $4, 4 folds, MP3 raises to $8, 1 fold, Button calls $8, Hero (poster) raises to $50.5, 1 fold, UTG folds, MP3 calls $42.50, Button folds. I knew this dumbass would call. LMAO!!!! I got SKILLZ I tell ya!!! :P

Flop: ($114) [8s], [Jc], [7d] (2 players)
Hero bets $46.5, MP3 folds. I had really expected him to call this bet as well.

Final Pot: $160.50
Main Pot: $114, won by Hero.
Pot 2: $46.50, returned to Hero.

Results in white below:
No showdown. Hero wins $160.50.

I suck at poker. Nuff said.

Actually it's not enough said. I mean WTF has happened to B2B this month?!!!!! I break down and go against my previous decision to NOT do another B2B ever again, and now there are like NO games going on even in European prime time! Unless of course you want to play either 6max versions of games, which I dont, or unless you want to play SOKO or 5 Card Draw. now the 5 Card Draw I like but am still learning it so I'm still losing money when I play it and that isnt good when you want to clear a bonus quickly. But WTF happened to all the Limit Holdem games? Used to be you could easily find 6 or more FR 1/2 Limit games going on at a time during the afternoon and evening of the euro time zones. This past weekend there was barely 1 going at any time and usually not even that! I dont get it! I know it was easter weekend and all but even today, a monday evening, there was NADA. I ended up playing PLO8 and one 1/2 table for a short bit to try and at least clear a few VIP's but it was pretty much dead! Finishing the 2nd half of this bonus before May 1st is seemingly becoming an endangered feat for me as during the week I have to work during the majority of the european prime time.

Then I go to Paradise to pick up enough to make up for my losses today which has always been fairly easy to do and I go card dead for a LARGE majority of the time and end up losing money there as well!

DAMMIT!!!!! This is frickin frustrating.
