Weekend Flash:
Played only 1000 hands this weekend (only played Friday Night and Sunday Night)...up 5 buy ins total, with very good peripherals (23/6.5/4.5), wn @ SD 63%, etc.
I now have over 110k hands in my DB, and its gotten to the point that if my stats for a given session mirror what I've written ain the previous paragraph, yet my results are negative, I can just shake it off and chalk it up to variance...in the short term, so little matters. Every 'big downturn' I thought I've experienced in the last 8 months has been nothing but a nearly imperceptible bump in the long-term reulsts graph. For a baseball stathead (statistics fan), who used to order his baseball cards by batting averages and ERAs as a child, this is ver comforting. I can not over-emphasize just how much having PT has improved my game. Its immeasurable. I know I've written this before, but when I bought PT on 8/15/05, I was grinding the 25NL and my BR ranged from $200-$500.
Since then, I have played more than 40k hands at 100NL and 5K hands at 200NL, with double digit PTBB/100 numbers in both. Over 5K hands at 200NL, I am still winning at over 22ptbb/100. I know this is not sustainable, but its been good.
Now the WSOP seat. I dont know if I've been more excited for anything other than my wedding, the birth of my boy and the impending birth of baby number 2. Its the culmination of a yr and a half to 2 yrs of hard work and diligent study (if I worked this hard at my real job, I'd be CEO by now - lol).
Anyway, thats a statge of the union on poker right now. I'm just very happy with my game, my roll, my mental outlook and my prospects for the wsop.
