This includes a losing session from last night, i grouped it in with the losing session this morning. I stopped playing after taking that set under set loss.. that was the final straw =\

Time played: 1hr 56mins
Tables played: 8
Hands Played: 826
Poker Winnings: (333.00)
Bonus cleared: 34.77
Total made: (298.23)

Countdown to NL200: $753.26

I'm going to post one heck of a lot of hands in the NL section before I play another session. Mostly sets and overpairs that i either lost or didn't get paid off on.

17,771 hands - 0.02 PTBB/100

That's true :P That's not including bonuses too, they add about 2.5 PTBB/100 to my winrate so i'm still surviving.. just not at the spectacular rate that I was a week ago.

I've drawn up a NL100 strategy which i'm going to stick by. I've cross-posted it in the NL section but i'm posting it here as a reminder to myself that if i play according to this, i SHOULD be a winning player.. i say should because there are no certanties in poker but I think my strategy is fairly solid.. maybe not for crushing the game but to be able to remain positive..

NL100 Full Ring Strategy

Raise
EP: AA, KK, QQ
MP: AKo, AKs
LP: AQs, AQo, JJ, TT, 67s, 78s, 89s, 9Ts, TJs, JQs, QKs

Limp
EP: 22 - JJ, AKo, AKs
LP: Axs (in multiway pots) AJo ATo

Call a raise
EP: 22 - JJ
MP: QQ, AKo/s (if the raiser is loose (pfr > 6%) and play with caution)
LP: 45s, 56s, 67s, 78s, 89s, 9Ts, TJs (If the raiser is tight (pfr < 2%) – play to crack an overpair

Re-raise
EP: AA, KK
MP: QQ

After raising preflop:

* Continuation bet of 3/4 pot every time against 1 opponent, unless I have a read which says otherwise

* If my CB is called and I have an unimproved hand (AK AQ) then check-fold unless I improve on the
turn or river

* If I have a big pair and the board is all unders, bet 3/4 pot on the turn against calling stations or if the board is draw heavy. If the board isn’t draw heavy then check behind in position against tight players. Out of position just lead on the turn again.

After calling preflop:

If I flop a set…
- Play it hard and fast on the flop unless I flop the overfull or quads
- Lead into the pfr if he’s a tight player and is likely to have an overpair
- Check-raise the pfr if he is loose-aggressive AND the board is draw heavy
- Check-call or flat-call the pfr if he is loose-aggressive and there are no draws on the board

If I flop a flush draw in an unraised pot…
- Lead for 3/4 pot and fold to a BIG re-raise, unless I have a pair or OESD in which case just push
- If my bet is called and I hit my flush, continue betting on the turn
- If my bet is called and I miss – in position just check behind, OOP check-call with odds or check-fold without odds. Sometimes lead again but only if the player is weak/tight and will fold to a second barrel.

If I flop a flush draw in a raised pot…
- Check-call with odds
- Check-fold without odds
- Only raise the PFR if he is weak/tight

The same applies to OESD, although some lenience can be made for calling bigger bets because the implied odds are larger as straights are generally more hidden. Don’t call or raise unless I’m drawing to the high end of the straight.

- Don’t make any fancy plays with 2nd or 3rd pair in a raised pot.
- If the pot is checked around and I’m last to act and it’s unraised, bet ¾ pot with any 2

On the river…
- If the board was draw heavy and the draws didn’t get there, check to induce bluffs
- If the board was draw heavy and the draws DID get there, check and make a judgement call as to whether or not to call a bet
- If I make my draw, don’t check as the villain will check behind too often – just make a value bet
- Blocking bets are generally useless.
- A check-raise on the river usually means great strength and is very rarely a bluff – if I hold a marginal hand, just fold.

Just make sure your raising SCs in LP doesn't lead you to too much FPS... Other than that, sounds good

just a question from NL noob.

In sng's and MTT's I always make a continuation bet of around 1/2 the pot if I have not improved against a single opponent. This way I only have to win one out of three.
You bet 3/4. Would 1/2 not accomplish the same and leave you with more +EV?

I am just talking postflop before the turn.

Well according to other more experienced players, 3/4 to fullsize bets seem to be the norm. I'm also coming back to NL ring after playing a tonne of SNGs so I was making my bets a bit small.

3/4 pot is where it's at for 100NL FR: calling stations will still call so you'll make even more from them.

Bet the full pot with a strong but vulnerable hand, when you're happy to take it there and then.
