I post a nice hand that I played in SH limit for one of my first sessions (after a SH 5/10 heater mind you!) and now I'm learning you think I can't even beat the game because of RAKE?!@#!@#

How can you play $5/$10 NLHE then when you wanna learn a new game you can play so small? I'm just like hey I feel like playing some Omaha/8, that's the one where you split the pot right? What's the highest game running on party right now, $20/$40? Ok I guess I'll sit at 4 of these tables.

A friend convinced me I should learn at a lower game.

I don't see how you can take 1/2 limit seriously. Seriously, stick with at least 3/6 if you want to learn a new game dude, Unless you have that "love for the game" bull, I say play something of comparable money. if you're a nl200-400 player you should be playing 5/10 at the smallest.

I'm decent at NLHE and so far winning.
I'm probably awful at LHE, and luckily winning.

I don't see any reason to play the same stakes in a game I'm not good at.
But maybe 3/6 would be okay.
