Thanks again to everyone that's replied so far.
I probably limit my starting hand selection too much, yes. . .particluarly for the levels that I'm playing at. I've read a lot of the standard poker books out there, and I find myself limping in with some of the hands that they say you should be open-raising with. I'm not sure WHY I do it this way, exactly. . .just a part of my game I need to work on. I do seem to be at my best when I'm a bit more aggressive, but usually all it takes is one nasty suckout or bad beat and I dial it back again.
I need to keep the aggression up all the time, not just selectively. It sounds like I could possibly be playing more hands, too, which doesn't seem to be a common problem at the lower limits. . .from what I've seen, the problem most people have at these levels is playing way too many hands.
Keep it coming, if there's anything else. After work this afternoon, I'm going to set about trying to turn that loss into a gain. (Not all at once, obviously. . .slow and steady.)
, which is basically just me whining about poker, Minnesota's professional sports teams, video games, and stuff in general.
