Just got back from a weekend excursion. Played 2/5 NL @ MGM Grand pretty much all the time.
"Yukon" Brad Booth sat in the game on one of the nights. He was with a really hot asian girl and invited us all to a party at his master suite in Bellagio on saturday (I didn't go). He was straddling from UTG every time, except when a new dealer came and told him it was too late to straddle, so he went all in blind. Clearly he was just having fun. I saw him call someone down with Queen high on a AA337 board and he won (the other guy had T8o). He talked about A-Rod and Joe Hachem a bit, and was a really nice, albeit pompous, guy.
Saturday there was a huge fish in my game, who was raising to $100 preflop pretty much every hand. I saw him go all in preflop for about $2500 and get called by AK. He had 33 and won it. Also saw him win with 98o all-in preflop against AK. I hit a set in that game and ended up about $100. He got his stack up to about $3000 but then got all in preflop with AJs against two people with KK and he lost. Left with $500, the max buy in.
I ended up winning about 800-900 which basically paid for the trip. Good times! Glad to be back on the 'puter.
