Well i thought it was time to start writing my own journal. Ive been reading the forum for a couple of months and have posted a couple of hands. I felt it would be nice to have somwhere to ventilate my poker experiences and have it documented for the future

Well a little bit about myself. Im 25years old, i live in gothenburg Sweden and i work as a bartender. Im currently studying aswell aswell as working, trying to make up for beeing so lazy in school.

I started playing online poker in december 2004 at ladbrokes, i initially started off depositing about 30$ for a couple of months losing it almost right away at 0.10/0.20NL tables. I had said to myself i would play for more than 30$ a month since i didnt know anything about poker. After a coupe of months i actually started winnig a little and after entering and winnig MTT and ITM on two others at ladbrokes giving me a 600$ boost to my bankroll i bought the theory of poker, superssystem, Holdem poker for advanced players(since i was so advanced ) and some other books wich helped me alot. I played exclusively at Ladbrokes until about two months ago, when i deposited on PartyPoker for the bonus and curently im playing at Doyles.

Im playing 0.25/0.50NL 3-4 tables working on the 110% bonus there. My next goal is to get to reach a 4000$ bankroll and giving a (serious) shot at the 0.5/1$ 6-max tables. My bankroll is currently around 3500$ (would have been arounf 5000$ if i hadent taken out some money befoer christmas) and im half way through the Doyles 660$ bonus. so i might get there in a a couple of weeks (slow bonus to clear at this level), if i dont donk away my money that is. I have about 80,000 hands in my PT database almost exclusively from 50NL and my PTBB is around 3.54B/100 over those hands.

Im really trying to improve my game, buying PT has helped me alot maneged to work my VpiP from 75% down to my current 27%. I feel im a bit weak/tight atleast thats what PT is telling me, i have been trying to be more agresive but somehow it always seem to backfire on me. Makeing me lose some big pots which havent helped me lose up Im trying to be really strict about my BR manegement useing the 40 buyin rule. I have had some bad cases of tilting in my day, but i feel that i have improved alot in that area, but you can always get better right!

Cool story. Im currently working my way up at the 6max tables too...and im about to move to party. I'm playing the .10/.25 level right now with a way to go before i move up to .25/.50...but maybe in a couple months i'll be seeing you at the .50/1 tables.

Hi, didnt think i would get any replies here . Ill race you to the 100NL
Im realy grinding out my BR atm to make the move up to 100NL, not sure if im ready for it skill wise. I have played there and abit higher but only for a session or two at the time, with various results.

So played another 1400 hands today and won $68,80, 4.99PTBB/100
one interesting hand and it was the last one, A real rock raises 5X i call in BB with 54s. I flop top 2 i lead he raises i push. He calls with AA and on the river the board pairs and he takes the pot worth 85$, felt my read was good. This has been happening alot latley, i feel i play fairly solid tight and is wiining and just at the end of my session i lose a big pot, makeing me have to quit a bit unsatisfied.
Was reading at the forum while playing (a bad habit i will try to get away from) which might have taken my concentration away some. Other then that i just feels good that my first day report ended with a + in the account.

Played a quick session today, 244 hands won 19.43$
I played really really bad, got great cards but mad some horrible calls. Maybe i was a bit tired while playing, not used to playing orning sessions. Atleast alot of action means Doylesroom action points. Goal is 132000p for the 660$ bonus, im at 86000 atm so its getting closer atleat.

Couldnt help myself playing one more session after an hours sleep.

314 hands winning another 91,76$. This sesion played it self, AK vs AQ with A on the flop 40$ was the biggest pot. Then alot of small pots where i showed more agression than usual, maybe im learning Feels good getting closer to the 4000$ goal i set up. also adding a whopping 2k of Action points!

Also played the 10+1 4000$grtd turbo on ladbrokes, 513 entries i finished 19th winning 46$ and an sng 10+1 finihing 4th.

Played two session s today, first one started pretty bad dropping down 80$ fast. Some bad plays mixed with some bad beats. I was 3 tabling but one tabled got empty and i couldnt find an op 50NL table so joined a 100NL and still at two 50NL. I won back 93$ at the 100NL while not going up or down ont two 50NL. Decided to stop while i was ahead since i didnt fell i was playing 100%.

Started he eavning session by playing the 4k grtd turbo finishing 95/507.
Started 2 tabling 50 NL playing 365 hands winning 123$, i played really solid this session making some tough calls and good laydown. Hope i can keep this feel up, buuut ill probably tilt it all away next session

Hey i made my 4000$ goal. yay!

this has really been a good month since i started going bonus hunting. I really felt i was stuck at ladbrokes almost evening out. I have realised that alot of my money has gone to SnG that i only played because i was bored. I havent been playing them at all now since im always working towards the bonuses.
Ill think i will stay at 50NL atleast untill the Doyles room bonus i cleared. 132000 something for 660$ am at 92898 so not that far to go so hopefully ill be over 4500$ when im done unless this good streak is continuing.

Have played 11 more sessions since last time none of them beeing over 50 hands. Mostly because i got interrupted for different reasons.

So, 387 hands $96.30 won 24.88PTBB/100

I played some SnGs aswell losing all three for 10+1.

Todays first short session started off bad, lost 24.90$ on the 50NL. Played pretty bad combined with bad cards. Since im now at $4000+ I tried 2 tabling the 100NL, went really well. Found one really good loose/agresive table and i just bear hunted and won $103.59. Some hands i felt i could have played better will have to post them to see what people have to say. I also lost another $27 on one sng and one mtt. Im really cold on the sngs atm, used to be pretty good at them.

I downloaded a graphing tool where i could see my BR development and it was a straight steady curve upwards

Started out todays "morning" session 2 tablinng on 50$NL and one 100$NL. The $50NL was a nightmare, no hands connected on the flop and when i raised 6xBB with KK for example 4ppl call and an ace coms on the river And then i make a really stupid all in call with QQ on a K-high flop against a player that really anoys me. Grrrr Lost 48.53$ total.

Well atleast the 100$NL went better. I was battling a good tag in a number of pots before this one came up. We both have full stacks. Villain is Otb and min raises i call in sb with 77, BB calls flop 973 two spades. I check, Sb bets 2$, Villainraises to 10 and i reraise to 35$. BB i call BB folds. It realy felt like 99 but i couldnt let it go. Turns out he had 10 8 of spades for the OESFD so i have a smal edge. turn and river doesnt help him so i win a big pot. total 113$ won

Im playing most of the times now at my girlfriends place. She has a really nice laptop, only problem is that now that im playign at doyles its difficult to play more than 2 tables since there is no "mini" window format there. And i find it difficult to play when the tables are overlapping. So that makes th hunt for the bonus alot slower, Well well ive had a really good run here so i cant complain that much. 33647 Actionpoints out of 132000 to go til the 660$ bonus

Played one more session 3 tabling the 100$NL. Feels like the 100$ is a bit more agressive than then the 50$, could be the tables i was sitting at well see when i played abit more. I really need to work on my agressivness, tend to get to passive in alot of pots. Played 952 hands total and won 102.91$

Played 5 Sng´s and won 29,50$.

So i maneged to ignore mu own advice today and played a short session of 306 hands 3 tabling the 100$ NL in between studying (loads at school atm). And im glad i did, i felt really calm the tilt from yesterday felt gone, so the first hand i loose 45$ with 2pair vs set. That didnt fel good at all, but i decided to stay atleast for a little while. I feel i played really good combined with good cards, only lost one more big pot with AA vs the flush which i didnt bet enough soi gave him odds. Well well i won a total of $239.55

Best pot was real gift from villain. I have full stack, he has like 70.

This really felt nice, but im starting to see a tendancy with my play. When i start to win alot like i have since i moved to doyles i win maybe 10buyins, then i start to play bad and almost always drop 2-4 buyins. But after the loss im focused again and almost always win the mony back quick. It feels like when im winning for a while i get bored throwing hands away and i start taking unnecesary risks. Will definatley have to work on that.

So losing 358$ yesterday and winnig 240$ today

Won another 72$ at 100NL$. was up 68$ more but lost a big pot QQ vs AA. well well.
Felt ok playing was a roller coaster lost big at first and then worked my way back.

And the bonus is getting closer!!! 117,254 done 14,746. That really feels good, working that hard it feels really good to put some extra cash into the BR.
