I should start by mentioning that my "work-week" begins on a Saturday and ends with a cash-out on Friday, thus today is the first day of my week. And wow, what a start! After my cash-out yesterday, I booked a late-night session at the 3-6 tables, which lasted a little over two hours. The first hour was pretty uneventful, probably made about 30-40 bucks, but then I went on a ridiculous rush, all at one table. Within one orbit, I got AA (which held up for a ~$70 pot), AK (which made top two and won a $50 pot), and A4 sooted, LP after a bunch of limpers. This last one flopped me the flush draw along with a gutshot wheel draw; after heavy 4-way betting on the flop, the turn came a beautiful 9! Actually, the nine wasn't beautiful; it wasn't my suit. The action slowed down and I only had to call another bet to see the river, which made me a delectable nut-flush! Two opponents left at this point; one made a smaller flush, the other wouldn't let go his top-pair, so we capped it again and I hauled in a delightful $158 pot. After that, things slowed down, but I still kept hitting some hands, and wound up quitting $323 ahead. Sweet!
I played another 4 hours today, and apparently, the rush hadn't stopped yet. I hit two sets and a quads, all for good-sized pots. It seemed like every time I played AK/AQ/KQ/etc, I paired up...in short, I was an utter card-rack (for those of you who aren't familiar with the term, a card-rack is officially defined as "a lucky S.O.B. who just keeps on catchin' like a <censored>") All told, I made another $432.
So, one day into the week, I've put in six hours and have made $755. Something tells me that winrate just ain't gonna hold up for the rest of the week...Hey, check this out: £. Betcha can't do that!
