My $50 PLO8 and NLO8 phase at stars is still going strong, and it's scary to see how easy the money is compared to PLO high (I'm supposed to know what I'm doing in PLO high but make more at PLO8??).
Anyway, here's two hands where I was lost.
Hand 1). I have [Kh][Js][Jd] in the BB. Few limpers.
Flop: [8c][4s]. I check, EP pots, one caller, I call.
Turn: . I check, EP pots again, caller calls again, I do what??
Hand 2) (This is NL). I have A953, suits irrelevant, and complete SB.
Flop: 335. I lead out for the pot, EP calls (shortstacked), LP calls (big stack).
Turn: 7. I pot again, both call.
River: 9. I bet $10, which precisely puts EP allin. EP calls, now LP moves in? It's about $50 for me to call, main pot is $55.
Results later.
Oh, one more:
Hand 3). PL again. I have [8c][9c][2s] on the button and call a small raise from EP. 4 see the
Flop: [8s][4s]. EP leads for the pot, MP calls. I raise pot? What do I need to put them on for this to be correct? EP reraises allin, both call (MP was shortstacked).
I ended up with 3 quarters of the side pot (EP had A2xx with two smaller spades) and one quarter of the main pot (MP had a set, board paired).
Is this a brainless jamming opportunity or do I need to be a bit more careful?
