Excession,
I have just moved up from 100nl to 200 and 400 nl. I have been using the auto rate rules in part 2a. I have always thought these were more for the lower limits.
1. is this true.
2. do you have any for the higher limits.
Man these tables really seem tight preflop. It seems like the avg table avg vpip is between 18 and 24. Is really possible that there are that many tight players out there or am I just getting unlucky selecting tables. What are your thoughts on the new limits as a whole.

Yes the autorate rules in 2a are for lower limits. I suspect the play at higher tables is much tighter and more aggressive. You may need to start differentiating the real rocks (say <13%) from those who are just averagely tight (13-20%). At low stake NL there are so few players with less than 20% ViP there is no need to do this.
I also expect that the aggressive post-flop boundary would need to move up from 1.2 to something nearer 2.
I don't play higher than 100NL- if I were you I would ask Ice his advice or alternativley adjust the rules from your own data - basically try to get each category generating a useful % of players.
There is no absolute definition of, say, TAA - as long as you are in the ballpark you should be fine (and of course you will be able to see the actual stats with GT+ anyway).
