Well phuck. Just haven't felt like playing very high limits today so I have been puttering around in the 0.5-1.0 O8B games and after 490 hands I managed to actually lose 3.96. I must have had 100 hands were any one of half the deck needed to fall for me to scoop, 90 times I ended up splitting and the other 10 times the 3 outer they needed to scoop me hit. That game is about as frustrating as they come when you are continually freerolling for a scoop and come up empty. Oh well. Nearly managed to knock out the party bonus as well as made a small dent in one of the two cryptos that I still play at so not all was lost.

Got the party bonus taken care of and thinking about trying to finish up one of the cryptos.

A little mini session to start the day off on a small win. Don't know how much I will play today as just not in the mood to do so. Did manage to try some new food for me last night. When I bought the goat last week I also got the innards (heart, kidneys, lungs and liver). I decided to rustle those up into an edible dish and was pleasantly surprised, especially by the lung as I don't think I have ever eaten lung from any animal. The kidney was a little chewy but i think that could be remedied by pressure cooking it or at least boiling it a little before cooking. The liver, and I am not a huge fan of liver usually, was actually very tasty. I cooked them up in a mixture of sauteed onions and mushrooms with garlic, cumin, soy sauce and pepper.

A decent morning session with three of my favorite B2B buddies at the 5-10 limit tables. Downloaded and started watching Tilt last night. I am enjoying it thus far.

Well donated a little to the cause to my fellow BTP Omaha players but had a good time doing it, always fun to follow the banter. Managed to get a little lucky on one of my last hands to limit the damage but was able to recoup all the loss and make a smidgen from a nice friendly donk in the 36 limit SH game.

Phuck I hate losing. If you have to lose it is always best to lose to the idiot as they are the easiest to get your money back from in most cases. It just sucks when they get tapped out or leave before you are able to extract a full measure of vengeance upon their feeble little minds. That is one of the beautiful things about playing live is that the idiot usually doesn't leave until their plane is arriving or they go bust so you usually have sufficient time to alleviate them of their ill gotten gains.

A short session on B2B to put things in the positive for the day but all in all the games there at this moment are not very good, hopefully some of my favorite fish will arrive there sometime today.

Damn I can certainly relate to PH when he says if it wasn't for luck he would win every time. Sucks to play well and keep on getting hammered time after time by 2 and 3 outers from folks that can't be having anything close to a cognizant thought going on inside their heads while they are playing.

Made another 92.00 whoring a couple of casinos that Derk posted about in the Bankroll section. Pretty easy and fast work to knock both of them out.

Damn I love 7 card stud. If you have it in your bones to play poker just stupidly aggressive and have enough wits about you to keep track of dead cards and know how that relates to your hand versus your opposition then 7 stud should be a gold mine for you. If you only desire to play 1 or 2 tables at a time then 7 stud should be your game of choice because if you can learn to play well I firmly believe that the greatest level of differences in skill between a very good player and the average player at the stud tables is at its greatest among all of the other forms of poker being played now. At the lower limits these guys simply suck.

Damn it is always nice to have your big hands hold up consistantly for a stretch. I just lit the boys at WPEX and Party up for nearly 300 in an hour of playing 3-6 and 2-4. Late start to my day for the most part as I could only get the Crypto sites to run early this morning for whatever reason so I knocked off a little stud session as well.

Has one hour left at WH to finish up the bonus there so I decided to play some stud to finish that off. That had to be the single worse hour of 7 Stud that i have ever been involved in. I think I may have won one small pot the hole time I was there. One of those tables where 6 to 7 people were seeing 4th regardless of how many raises got put in on 3rd so alot of suspect hands out there shooting for me and every time one of them got there. I ended up dropping 46 BB in one hour which should rectify the ungodly number that I have been running at for the past three months or so.

Well, piers can answer this too if he likes, but im pretty shure i know the answer to this one. The FR games are really tight at most levels. However the SH games are good at the 36 and 510 levels. ANy higher than that and they get tougher though... But SH games generate the most rake, and YES, the RB there is huge- i made $1500 in one week at 10/20 SH after i played breakeven poker pretty much- and i made lik $900 last week. Dont get me wrong, im still buried to the tune of about 3.5k on that site, partiall due to the fact that i run unbeleivably badly on it, and also due to the fact that you gotta excercise some discipline as far as game selection goes on that one, but im not one for discipline, because i start gettin pist when i get stuck, so i tilted off alot of that in games that no one in thier right mind would be sittin in- like 10/20 5 max games with avg pot sizes of $40 and $50 and shit like that.

That all said, there are good games there esp at 3/6 and 5/10, and the RB is huge, so id say go for it if thats what your playin. And learn to play short handed too, so you can make gainful contributions to our threads  :P

Perhaps it is just a bi-product of running pretty well for the most part lately but I am hammering the 3-6 FR game there for a hefty 10.65 BB/100. I am losing a small amount of the 2-4 FR game and down less than a BB in the 5-10 game but all these numbers don't mean alot as I haven't put even 1000 hands in yet at each level. What I can say though is that the play in my opinion is not that good overall. Certainly at times you'll find a couple of tables that are really screwed down tight but I haven't had a problem finding some fools at nearly every table I have played at. Also if you have any inclination to play Omaha 8B the game is going everyday now and it has to be one of the juiciest 2-4 to 3-6 O8B games out in cyberspace. Those guys have no freaking idea how to play that game. I just played a little while at the 10-20 full ring games as well and I'll give you a little taste of what the AKSHUN is like there. I have to say one thing that when I raise UTG in a FR game and get three bet by Q3o I think I might be leading perhaps 100% of the time  I think that anyone who primarily plays limit holdem is doing themselves a pretty big injustice by not opening an account there. Below are some figures for the rake return that I have figured from my PT stats. These may be off a little one way or the other but shouldn't be too far wrong. With these numbers even a lowly limit playing bastard like me might be able to maintain a 3 BB/100 win rate.

2-4 FR: 88.88 per 1000 hands; ca. 7.11 per table/per hour (+2.22 BB/100)
3-6 FR: 134.53 per 1000 hands; ca. 10.76 per table/per hour (2.24 BB/100)
5-10 FR: 161.66 per 1000 hands: ca. 12.93 per table/per hour (1.61 BB/100)
10-20 FR: 254.37 per 1000 hands; ca. 20.34 per table/per hour (1.27 BB/100)
