Tri-as I may-Beca $200NL

Villain is to my immediate right and is your typical 50%vpip 10%pfr type. He and I are full stacked and have been in some pots together. He's not afraid to play a big pot with a TP type hand.

He limps, I raise to $8 with K[h] K[d]. He calls and its HU. When someone limp calls in 6max, I almost always put them on Axs or a small pp.

Flop ($19) A[d] 7[h] 4[s].

Two scenarios:

1) He leads $15
2) He checks. Are you WA/WB?

Your plays.

If he leads, I will muck w/o a read. Calling, however, is an option if you have seen him lead into raisers on A-hi boards (fairly common bluff).

If he checks, I check behind.

my play might be to ABC but...

1). I fold. I'm trying to think of a situation where I'd raise, but I can't.

2. If he check's I'll bet close to pot. Probably $15 in this scenario. If he checkraises I'm done with the hand.

1. if he leads...i sometimes fold...sometimes call. depends on villain.

2. if he checks....against one opponent and with position i'll check right back. then i can get paid on the turn and river by a much wider range that would usually have folded to a flop bet.

If he checks I bet and fold to a raise. I want to know where I'm at.

If he leads, then it comes down to reads. Usually fold.

Why do you put a 50%VIP guy on Ax or a pocket pair just because he limp/calls. He'll do that with a huge range of cards.

Villain did bet $15 and I folded. He was tricky enough to be bluffing with it. I considered raising his flop bet but decided to just fold.

I think I like the check line if he checks. I agree that you get more from say a JJ by playing that way.
