i bet $2.50 he raises to $8. what is villain's range here? AA and 55 obviously...anything else ever?

At those stakes, any hand that includes a 5...

i really don't care. He could easily have any 5, A5. If he caught AA or has quads, i'm paying full, push. don't get cute and hope to get it in later. People slowplay 95 because they feel they flopped a boat and can't lose.

Against better players you can maybe worry about AA or 55 here but a) no raise preflop makes AA unlikely and b) playing 55 so fast would be unusual. Given this is a small stakes game, villain probably isn't very good which would open up his range to many 5s, as well as his most likely holding given the play so far (A5). So yeah it's a clear push (you could even make a small raise or slow-play as he likely has no more than 3 outs).
