Hi,guy this is my first post, i have mostly played 1/2limit without sucess,i am now moving to no limt after losing with AA to 10-6 and other junk more times than i can count. My question is my current starting hands are AA-thru 22, AXs, suited connectors j,10 and better, is this sufficient? am i too loose ?too tight? and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reading suggestions: Harrington No Limit, Brunson Super System II and McEvoy Championship No-Limit wrote good books on NL.

Compared to limit the small pairs go up in values and suited connectors and high cards go down in value. Anyway, on a loose table you can play all of your hands from MP onwards. In EP I suggest only to play AA-TT, AK, AQ, maybe AJs.
Be careful with KQ, KJ and QJ, these are trouble hands in NL. Fold them in EP (except of KQs).

Teener as a begginner at NL, I would work on playing tight, I mean rock tight. In bad postion UTG only play top 10 hands, fold KQ and worse. In middle postion you can loosen up a litlle maybe add KQ and all PP, as a bigginner I would advise avoiding suited connectors all together but If you are going to play them only play them in late postion in a multi player pot, and be prepared to fold your possible draws to a big bet.

Another mistake I see lots of new NL players make is the one unit raise. Often times they think they are sweeting the pot with AA or KK. Yes you are sweetening the pot a little but you are also asking for a disaster, big pairs dont play well in a multiway (4 or 5 players) and tis is a great recipe for losing your stack to grabage hand like 10/6. Big paris are far from bullet proof and the more people that call your raise the weaker you pocket AA becomes. Raise a decent amout and try to get heads up or 3 way action, better to win a little pot than lose your stack to someone with 10/6.
