Been too lazy to update this bastard....
So Poker...poker's been good. I did what 3 months ago would have been unthinkable to me. I've switched to the 5-max tables at the Dise..the reason for this, I guess, is that since the first WSOP seat win, my FR game was in a giant rut, just status quo. I have been playing over-rolled for some time and with the cash influx of 4k (2k in expenses for each), I finally moved up. Initially I was killing the 1/2 game at the dise, then had a bad run, mixed some beats with some awful play and before I knew it, I had played about 6k hands of breakeven poker at the 200s. OK, so I moved back down temporarily to see whats up...another 2k hands of breakeven poker - cant even explain it, the spark wasnt there, I was playing a card game. It seemed every time I CB'ed, I was called or raised - this was my biggest leak, I wasnt losing huge pots, just alot of mid-tange pots.
So, this breakeven shit was killing me, over the previous 130k hands, my WR is about 8PTBB/100...so with some considerable trepidation, I idecided to give it a few thousand hands at the 5-max tables, which IK've heard were frought with variance and idiots...
Anyway, the spark is back. I've played about 3500 hands this weekend to some outstanding results. I'm playing at 33/11/4 (my FR stats were 23/6/4). But many of the basic FR rules still apply...
*dont go nuts with 1 pair hands
*dont bluff a CS
etc etc
Its nuts what these people will throw their money away with. YThe shorties will call raises with anything, then dump the rest of their chips with any piece of the board, like 3rd pair, no kicker. No joke.
With a hand, I am betting the pot at every street. Why the fvck not? They call anything anyway. If anyone wants to discuss some key differe3nces bw FR and SH, lets have at it, because if it stays like this, I aint going back. Plus, 3 tabling, I can get like twice as many hands in per hr then when I was 4 tabling FR. It was definitley time for something new after about 140k hands of FR. Thanks FR, my BR thanks you, but it looks like we wont be seeing each other for a while...its not you, its me.
