Maniac just sat down about 20 hands again. He obviously is playing a lot of junk, overbetting flops with 8-high, and all sorts of donky business. This one takes the cake.
5-max. I open-raise from CO with [Qc]. Maniac calls on the BTN, the rest fold.
Flop comes
Despite the coordinated flop, this guy plays a LOT of hands and this flop should scare him. I bet 3/4 pot expecting an easy fold here. He may be a donk, but he still folds sometimes on highly unfavorable flops.
He surprises me by making a HUGE re-raise all-in. I'm not about to call with K-high and a gutshot. After I fold he shows me his hand: 74o. Great move buddy. Most of the time when I raise PF, that board would connect with me somehow, and we all know he's a maniac, so this would be an easy call.
All-in-all, I do not like playing against maniacs in SH NLHE. The variance is much higher and when he bets with a strong hand, no one believes him. I decided not to play "cop" and just left the table after another 20 mins or so. Someone else took his money right as I was leaving.
