I have $432 and villain covers. Villain is very LAGGY 46/29/4.6. I'm immediately to his left. We have some history. Twice he has raised 8 pfr, and I have reraised him to 25 (once with JJ, once with AK). He check/folded to my 3/4 pot sized on the flop each time, and on the last one, I hit a set of JJs on a KTJ flop of which he seemed to have a piece. I can tell he's trying to play a pot with me now.

All folds and Villain raises 8 in SB. I just call in BB with 7[s] 6[s]. I thought if I reraised he'd surely call me THIS time. Wussy move by me?

Flop ($16) Q[d] 9[d] 7[c]. He leads for $10 (he usually bets flops unless I've reraised him). I raise to $25. He thinks and calls.

Turn ($66) 6[c]. He leads with $48. I decided to call and let the LAG bet it for me. Anyone raise?

River ($162) A[s] Ugg. I don't like that card so much. He leads $96.

Thoughts...

One of my big problems is I often pound on people but then I start fearing them playing back at me. Why? Well when they finally play back at me, I lose my read on what they might have. Are they playing back with the made hand they've waited for or are they just trying to fight. I end up having to make tough folds. Any advice here?

I felt like that against this guy, and it made me just call the turn. I think I should have raised it. In a blind war, he's capable of going to the felt with AA/KK/KQ, etc. and not likely to have Q9, etc.

As played, I gulped and called the river. He showed 4[c] 3[c], and I scooped. He preceded to berate me that I was "lucky" to make 2 pair on the turn. I hated calling that river and probably would not have if it were not a blind war.
