yes, you should go ahead and push on the turn because if a non diamond comes he's not going to put anymore money in the pot (i put him on the naked A of diamonds, too).

in my experience, a short stack isn't going to try to "milk" you over the course of 3 streets. if he hit the flop hard, he'd probably push the turn. well, unless he just has the absolute nuts.. i guess or a full boat at this point.
