Villain is running a nice VPIP over 75%. He has $319, and I have 200.

I have 8[d] 8[h] in LP and its limped.

Flop ($7) Q[h] 6[d] 9[c]. Villain checks, I bet 6, button calls, villain calls. Button has a full stack and is loose and sometimes aggressive.

Turn ($25) 8[c]. but that board is coordinated. Villain checks, I bet 15, button calls, villain calls.

River ($70). Q[c]. Villain checks. I push $176

Thoughts.

FWIW, here were my thoughts at the time.

I thought one had a Q and the other either made his straight with JT or the flush. Villain was screwy enough to have even played 57 for a straight.

If I check raise, I thought the Q's would fold because its a darn scary board by the river. It's Prima and the button wasn't nutso Tribeca guy or anything.

By open pushing it looks like I don't want a call so I'm hoping that a Q makes a heroic call, a backdoor flush makes a call, or even a straight makes a call as my push looks bluffy.

Button folded and Villain took his full time and called with J[c] T[d] for the turned straight. Thanks for not check raising the turn bud.

Anyone hate this line of thinking?

Nevermind, I was actually thinking about check raising the turn , not the river. What I said makes no sense.
