I played this hand lastnight at a $50NL table on Party.

I just started about 10 minutes ago and have a stack of $68. I see a free flop in the BB with Q2 of diamonds. There are 5 limpers and myself in the pot.
The flop is: Qs 6d 8s. I check to the limpers. I dont put much value in top pair no kicker, out of position, with a lot of limpers, and two draws out. It gets checked around.
Turn is a 3d. Pot is $6 and I bet $6. I get called by a huge stack ($250ish).
River is an offsuit 3.
I check and he bets $20 into a $18 pot.
I called.
Who calls here, and why? Who folds and why?

Even though you've only been at the table, the big stack should have probably shown tendencies of bully play if that was actually his style. The only way I call in this situation if he's been doing this with garbage a lot.

With no read I fold, I figure calling this every time is a huge loser in the long run. Plus, practising discipline in this hand leads to better habits in potentially much costlier hands further down the line.

My play would probably depend on what position the big stack was in.
I play hands like that just like you did on the flop and turn. I get alot of calls from people with 2nd pair because they never put me on top pair. It works better when I bet the turn after a jack or ten falls because they assume I hit the turn card and not the queen.
Im not sure why you checked the river though. I wouldve bet about $6-$10 again.
When you checked and he bet the full pot, I think he beats you.

The only possible hand that he could have that beats me is Q with a better kicker, but I figured he had a draw. If he did have top pair, or a set, he would have raised me at some point. I was pretty sure he wouldnt call any bet on the river because alll possible draws missed on the river. I checked to let him take a stab at the pot and bet. I called instantly. He had Kxs..and was drawing to the flush.

I always play close attention to big stacks because you never know if they got the stack by great play or by being a lucky fish. Obviously, you want to attack a lucky fish and avoid a great player with a big stack.

Anyone who calls a pot bet at the turn with a flush draw is in the lucky fish catagory.
This is where reads come in. I wouldnt have made THIS call, but from now on against him its an easy call. Nice going Eman.
