you may have extracted the most value but i still lead out there and hope he thinks you are on a flush draw or 99 or something and raises you. you can play from there.

on another note, when i don't have a read on a player, i treat them as above average until i learn more. i would rather error on the side of caution than thinking they are a donk to start.

Good point Briachek. Disregard my advice.

If villian had missed overs. You probably got maximum value out of it. However, against an overpair leading the flop would be best.

Also, check-raising the flop can work very well against overs or overpairs because it looks like you could just be making a move. If you check-raise the flop and villian has an overpair he is more likley to call than with a check-raised turn. Then you can check the turn and an overpair will usually bet then you can push over the top once villain is hopefully too committed to fold. Or just call the turn and lead the river.
