Played two multi tables yesterday and busted in both of them with KK. Would be grateful for any comments on my play, especially the first one- the second is more one that is in the lap of the poker gods, I think.

$5 and 1 on Ultimate Bet. 245 entrants.

With about 150 people still in, I have just over 1600, and we started with 1500. Blinds are at 30 and 60.

I get KK in middle position. 1 limper to me and I raise to 200 (not enough perhaps? I didn't want everyone to fold but also wanted to protect my KK). 1 caller one off the button, as does the limper.

Flop is 6 2 9, rags. Limper bets 200. I raise to 400. Guy one of the button calls, as does limper. Should I have moved all in here?

Turn is another 9. Limper bets 300. I move all in. Guy one off the button calls, limper folds. Opponent has A9, for trip 9s on the turn.

Should I have raised more pre-flop here? Possibly. The other thing I could have done in retrospect is move all in on the flop, and pick up the pot there- but I felt that was playing a little scared, and that I needed to get as much value as I could with my overpair. In the end, that desire finished me.

My next multi was the big $5 party one. Just after the first break, I have 1200, about half the average stack. Blinds are at 75 and 150.

I get KK in 2nd position. Raise it to 450 (again, as I am shortstacked, very much looking for action). Called in 5 spots (so much for respect) to the small blind who goes all in. I call all in, as does one of the others. The small blind has AA. The other guy has KK. This is the first time I have ever had KK and been up against both KK and AA at the same time.

I think this must be the worst spot I have ever been in with all my money in the middle. With the other 2 kings out, I needed to hit a board with a 9, 10, Q and J! The calculator says this makes me a between 1 and 2% chance of winning (depending on if he had one or even both aces of my kings' suits- something that passed me by as I had chucked my laptop out the window by that point).

Can anyone beat this as having been a bigger underdog preflop for all their money in hold'em?!

Min raise was wrong....You have the overpair on a rainbow flop....Its the perfect time to fire at the pot, and hope TPTK comes after you.....in a 3 way pot i'd be inclined to bet it more than the pot to reduce the odds you are giving on any random draws......

Min raise didn't isolate and clearly gave odds to people who had a small piece of the flop...you then go all in when the board pairs....its the type of bet where you'll only get called if you are beat.....
