I have a full stack and villain covers. I don't have a good read on Villain, but he is a bit aggressive from his stats.

I limp 7[h] 6[h] UTG. 4 callers. Villain is UTG+1

Flop K[s] 7[s] 6[s]. ($8) I usually check a set or top two on a montone board, but I've got bottom two. I bet $7. Only villain calls.

Turn J[d] ($23) I check, villain bets $21.

What's my play? Anyone check the flop?

For the record, I love villain's play here. Because he could literally have just about any two cards. Since there's no way to rule out the flush, you have to just let it go. And he knows that, which is why his bet is perfect. You can't call it. And you especially can't call it with bottom two and KJ above you, because he could have walked into higher two pair even if he doesn't have the flush. And even if he just has TP you will have no idea if he hits two pair on the river. Or he could have TP and a flush draw with the .

No matter what he has, do you think you can face down another big bet on the river if you don't boat up?

So to recap, I think your flop play is fine. I also think you could have made a half pot turn bet if you wanted -- but given the way the hand played out you fold.

In this situation my standard play OOP is to check call a flop bet, check raise the turn and if they don't back off then pray for a cheap showdown by check/fold/check call.

OOP against a very aggressive player your bet tells you nothing, he could have [2h] and you still can't call his turn bet.... he can make his bet with the x easy.
