--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For now, that's all I get. So, it's nice to get MY recognition. ATE can gaurantee you: my section, would be better than any other. This is party because ATE has played, and continues to play, 2-4 through 30-60, and KNOW the differences.
Anywho, sometimes one may play a VERY specific two low hand, here are DA rules:
(1) MUST contain an ace, preferably conceeled. did you hear me say MUST? good.
(2) MUST contain other WHEEL card, NOT six or seven
(3) IDEALLY, should be two-suited
(4) MUST also contain other high card, bigger than anyone's upcard
said high card, MUST be one of the downcards, NOT the upcard
VERY IMPORTANT, here commmmmmes number 5 ! ! ! (number five, is ALIVE !!! !!
YOUR OPPONENTS'S MUST BE THE TYPE TO ALSO PLAY MANY TWO CARD LOWS.
this game is a RACE, and if you are not staring out too far behind, the race is equal., or in your favor
Example: you Kd Ad 3c
Opponents: 2 Q 6 3 4 J Yes, they sometimes DO play these sometimes
Somehow, I like my chances
(6) players must be very timid, on fortht and preferable, fifth street., yet loose callers.
if they started with three lows, and bust out with a picture, yet still call when you pair your ace or king
HEY!! ATE fans, do you have ANY idea, how sophtisticate this information is!!!!!
although it's a very MINOR element of your poker education, you are getting the BEST run down, on this subject.
For those wishing to master high low stud, this IS important. You can't just ANTE yourself to death
oK, MOVING RIGHT ALONG,
Since ATE mentioned antes, let's discuss that.
AVOID this type of hand, in LOOOOOOW ante games games such as the 3-6 on pokerstars (ATE's fav. in lower limit games) with an ante of only 1-12th of a full small bet, is MADE for hyper-tight play. Aussi, pour le Dix, ven (damn forgot how to say "twenty" ) games, UNIVERSALLY having a 1-10th ante/small bet ratio, and the players are generally much tougher.
the 3-6 game, on party, with the 1-6th ratio (and anywhere else they play with .50 cent ante, in a three six game), or the 2-4 game on Pokerstars, with medium high ante, and a very high bring in., are good games to sometimes play two card low hands
Obviously, position relative to the forced opener and the remaining potential callers (RAISERS!) is important.
Please don't even THINK of playing one of these hands, COLD against a raise.
Let your opponents do that.
So, in the hands of a trained EXPERT, suitable two lows hands ARE a part of the winning players Weapons of death.
a SMMMMMMAAALLLL part, but a part none the less.
Take heed to ATE's requirements, though, less you end up BROKE.
The preceeding has been an oficial ATE article. All material contained herein, comes EXCLUSIVE from ATE, and his experience.
