Just finished my session at Breakaway. . .cashed out $23. Blackjack has some MAD variance going on. . .about halfway through my session, I had doubled my $25 to $50, and then just hit a terrible run. Dealer hitting BJ 3 times in a row and constantly getting the perfect cards to beat my 19's and 20's.

But hey. . .$23 free is $23 free. Who am I to complain?

I'm almost exclusively a poker player. . .tried doing online blackjack a few times, but that was before I had the discipline to say to myself "Just because you've lost a few hands in a row doesn't mean you have to increase how much you're betting." Gotta keep the eyes on the bigger prize.

EDIT: Just totally crashed and burned at Sci-Fi with about $65 worth of bonus left to clear. Ah, well, it wasn't my money.

For EV calculations I just use a flat HA of 0.5%. The house edge is typically lower than this, but it's a decent number especially considering misclicks and such.

I am really starting to hate hitting on 12 when the dealer is showing the 2 or 3.
