Let me first say that I rarely chase draws and I rarely bluff. This is one of the keys to be very low variance but still very profitable game. But I do throw out a bluff on occasion and sometimes they work, sometimes they dont.

I limp [8d]. SB completes and the BB min raises to $4. We both call. We all have at least $200.

Pot $12. Flop [5d][6s]. SB checks, BB lets $8. I call and SB calls.
Pot $36. Turn . SB checks, BB bets $18. I call and SB folds.
Pot $72. River . BB bet $12 and I raise to $62. He lowered his river bet which is a pretty obvious sign of weakness. Good or bad bluff on my part?

I don't know if I buy it. What hand are you representing that would call the flop and turn, but raise the river. Guess [4d] would make sense. Any read on the player?

What's a min-raise from an average donk? Ax and small PP's. A lot of those hit.

Any reason you didn't raise his flop bet?

If I am the opponent I don't know what hand I can put you on after the way the betting went.

I certainly don't put you on any kind of set or two pair because you are going to raise me at some point.

If that was my first ever hand at the table against that type of betting pattern I would assume you are trying to raise me off what you read as a my busted flush draw, so I would probably call with TPTK quite happily, I mean, what can you have?

It looks like the typical, call, call, bluff on possible scare card / busted flush/straight draw that people do all the time.

Without a read I hate it, against a rock I love it.

This was at Prima so he wasnt from Ireland, (Tribeca is full of Irish playess and Prima full of Scandinavians) although I saw one guy make of of the worst playe ever today at Prima and I checked and low and behold...Ireland it is!

Anyway, he called my raise with QJ. Hands like this are why I never bluff and just pound people with my good hands. Any moron who plays QJ like this guy did (including the min raise preflop from OOP) will pay me off handsomely when I have 2 pair or set type hand.
