He could be on any ace. You beat (at the time) a kicker of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and lose to k, q, j, t, 6 ... so against a short stack (who I am presuming to be a donk) you're probably correct to make the call, especially with the dead money in the pot. I call and expect to win a little more than half the time.

The guy behind you has about the same size stack as the shorty, so no worries about him...they can't BOTH have the ace.
