2/4NL stars

very loose mp open raises 12$, solid lp makes 40$.

I call in the SB w/ 1010 - maybe a questionable call, but the main reason for it was the original loose raiser was in the hand. Unfortunately the loose raiser folds and we take the flop heads up.

I check, he leads out for 80$-we started with 500$ stacks.

Where do I go from here?

Decide if he'll pay you off if the straight hits. Solid LP... He's got an overpair. That means he won't pay you off and it will cost you to draw to it. I fold. Then again I'm a 50NL player, so I'm sure the games play much differently.

Bet $60, if he re-raises, push.

I think you should lead at this pot and 3bet all-in if you're raised.
You're 60/40 vs an overpair so you don't need too much folding equity.

I think checking/folding is out of the question here considering I flopped an open ender and am pretty much at the worst sitting on an 11 outer.

-Checking/calling seems just so damn weak I can't stand doing it... Maybe someone can convince me otherwise...

-Leading out and pushing if you get re-raised seems like a good option. If you decide to lead out here, your basically committing your whole stack with that one bet. The thing is, your betting 80$ - about pot sized bet, yet your committing your 500$ stack with that 80$ bet. Kind of uncomfortable situation, but what other options do you have?

-I decided to go for a check-raise, I figured if I'm committing my whole stack I might as well go for a check-raise, get some money out of AK making a continuation bet... and pretty much get it all in vs AA KK QQ.

He bet 80$-I check-raised to 300-he pushed i called he had AA and held up.

Do we all agree that your pretty much going to have to committ your stack with this hand or do any of you think you can get away from it?

i think you have to commit. if he's a good player he has to at least CONSIDER folding on that horrible flop for an overpair.
