Villain is 54/18 and has a love of opening with a min raise. I generally operate under these rules:
1) Help old ladies across the street.
2) Help little girls get their kitty out of the tree.
3) ALWAYS PUNISH PFR WHO OPEN MIN RAISE!!


Anywho. He starts with 178 and I cover. He bets 4 pf from OTB, I raise to 17 from the BB with K[d] Q[h]. He thinks and calls. It's HU.

Flop ( $35) K[h] 6[c] 7[s]. I lead $2, 1and he calls.
Turn ($76) 6[s]. I lead $55, and he calls.
River ($187) 4[d]. I check. He has $85 behind.

Anyone like my river check or my play?

I agree that its better to pick a spot to reraise from position. But the fact that he open min raised from the button REALLY tells me he has squat.

I know an awful lot of donks that would, play AA or KK the same way...

I would reraise him there, but only once I have a read that hes not min raising his big pairs. I like to see a few of his min preflop raises shown down before I attack. Prima is the home of the preflop min raise so getting a read on theses fools is of utmost importance.

Now that we're here at the river , I think Im pushing in. I think he wouldve raised you if he could beat KQ. It looks like maybe TP and flush draw combo? [Ts]? Depending on how bad he is, he may even have a middle pair here.

Anyway, you cant fold the river so you might as well push to get value from hands you beat.

Gotta go all-in on the river, or check the turn.
He'll check behind too many weaker hands and you're going to pay if he bets anyway.

The preflop reraise is kinda meh because you're OOP.
I'd rather have a suited connector, but your way is okay too.

I have a simliar hand like this in PT, except I have AJs and have position on the donkey autoraiser.

I think you played it fine, except you might as well push the river as you won't be folding to anything he bets anyway.

No way am I folding the river if he pushes. My thougts are how do i get the most from him.

Just so you know. Ice was right (again--jebus). He had KT. He had been min raising a bunch with crap like this so I knew I had him.

Real Question.

Stack sizes say I just push and he can't fold right? Ha! I do this all the time and they fold having put 2/3 of their stack in. Don't ask me how, but they do. Still the best play?

So at Tribeca (although this is Prima) I'll often check looking to check raise, and they do a stupid instapush.

Or is it better just to value bet like 1/2 his stack, calling a push.
