this is my very first post here, been a lurker for a long time and feel fit to post now. Should first say that reading the posts here has been improving my game a lot and I'm also really impressed with general friendlyness of the posters.

I am 23 years old Norwegian (so please excuse any unproper english) student of economics. I've been playing poker with friends since the age of 13, and online for about a year. Since January I've been 3-4 tabling 100$ 6 max using Poker Tracker and PAHUD playing a TAG 27-9-2,7. I rely heavily on the HUD stats because I'm not very good at note-taking and spotting betting patterns.

I've been reading all the NL articles here and really like and have adopted a lot of the of concepts Iceman is discussing. Excessions Pokertracker guide has also been most usefull.


Well enough about me. The following hand has been bothering for a time now beacause

1) My play is dreadfull.
2) I don't know how to play it.

Pojo22 is tight passive
Lilybearis raising a lot preflop, betting a lot postflop, but has been folding when put under pressure.
Equinepro is TAG

My tablei mage is pretty rockish after a bad run of cards.

(The hand is from Crypto and I don't know how to convert crypto hands, is it possible?)

Should I reraise preflop?

The way it's played preflop, should I bet the flop? I really think I should have bet the flop and folded to a raise.

The way it's played at the flop, what do I do at the turn?

Thoughts appreachiated.

You may have gotten away and saved smoe money because I think EquinePro had AA, but you are in way too deep and the pot is too big for you to be folding.

Preflop....reraising is best especially with all that action and multiple players interested.
Flop......you have to bet when its checked to you especially with that flush draw out there.
Turn.....Theres no way I would fold. He just about has to have a big pair. You beat QQ and JJ and lose to AA and TT. If you consider your chances 50/50 based on those possible hands, then you cant fold with all the money already in the pot.


I DO think he had AA, but Im not sure enough to fold. It looks like he was going to check raise the flop, but wiffed when it got checked thru. He bets pot on the turn, you min raise him and he min raises right back thinking that only TT beats him.

Actually, Im 95% sure he had AA after typing this out.

He told me later he had AA. I think the my fold at the turn is ok, like Ice pointed out I can't see him minreraising me there with any other hand.

I think I would have lost less money if I had either

1) reraised preflop and folded to his reraise (he probably would have reraised), like Mike suggested. I don't like going all in preflop with KK with a 130$ stack when the villain isn't a donk.
2) bet the flop and then folded to his checkraise. I'm sure he would have checkraised me and then I should definetly be able to fold.

The way I played it I was comletely lost at the turn, had no Idea what to do and choose a really bad action.

I wouldnt worry about it. If you have KK vs AA and dont get stacked, its a win. (Assuming of course he wasnt lying about his hand). Ive seen people play hands like this numerous times and its been AA every time so I dont think he ws lying.
