I took a couple days off to try to clear my head. Hung out with friends, saw some movies, drank a little and I feel calmer now playing poker.

I think i may try some full ring limit on TRP to work on clearing the bonus. Been a while since i played holdem, let alone limit. We'll see how that goes. At least the bonus works off faster this way for the most part than plo since they only ever have 1 plo100 going.

Started the party bonus for $75 and won about 40 in 360 hands in under 2 hours. Nothing too special.

That was nice but unfortunately the wrong guy had the hand.

I've been slowly working my way to the doyles bonus playing low plo since its rare they have anything higher than plo20 open. I've played some limit O8 too. I got about 2500 action points left til the 135 bonus. I guess it would go a bit faster if I do some holdem, which i may in the future for other tribeca bonuses since it goes by contributed to rake. Tight players like me get screwed.

Got a big BBQ at a friends house tomorrow and won't be back til sunday. I will have to finish the party bonus then or it will expire. Hopefully the btp omaha cash game will be going on and that will help.

so its been a while since i updated this. probably not many care about it as i've been losing interest in it too. I think that's a sign of the bigger problem which is putting in the hours i needed. I still made enough in may but i could have easily made more. i only put in about 25 hours at plo100 since i was playing at b2b and doyles for a bonus and those games were rarely open so i was playing lower limit. I also determined that b2b tilts and frustrates me and makes me not want to play poker so i give up on all of them.

I also playing a home game with friends on saturday. Its $20 buy in dealers choice between NLHE and NL Omaha High, .25/.50 blinds. Not deep stacks but they grow quick enough. table was between 5 and 7 handed the whole time.

Hand 1 - one of the first hands. I raise AKo in ep to $2 get a call by a loose-ish player and another loose player raises to $4 total. we all have $20. I just call as he likely has a pair and won't fold at this point so might as well see a flop. Flop is K82r, i check to see how much they like the hands, they both fold. I know he has a pp under K now. Turn is a low blank, i bet $8, one fold and prf calls reluctantly. River is another low blank, i push for $8, he calls with 99. This is gonna be a good night.

Hand 2 - NLHE again and i'm utg with ATs and i decide to just limp. folds to the sb who calls. bb is a friend of mine nelson (mvp and kenny have met him in vegas) raises to $1.50. he plays lag. We both call. Flop is AA5 rainbow. Checks to me. Nelson likes to trap sometimes and if he has the Ace, he'll check raise me to a point i might not want to play because of the kicker so i decide to act later and check. Turn is a 7, putting a second spade out (7 and 5). checks to nelson who bets $2. Once again, i just called. I'm not sure why but it just felt like i could get the most out of the hand this way if he's blufing and save if he's trapping me. sb calls. River is Ts completing the bd flush. Checks to nelson who bets $5. I raise to $15 with the nuts. Sb calls all in for 15 and nelson calls with A4s for the nut flush, sb had KQs for second nut flush.

Hand 3 - Omaha. I get JJ8x ss in the sb. raised to $1.50 by nelson. i call as do a couple others. flop is J84, 2 spades. I lead for pot, nelson is the only caller. turn is an offsuit 2. I bet $20, he calls. River is 4. I bet 40 which is way too strong but he would push if that boated him and he will just check against me with a missed draw so i think leading out is best than check raising to get him all in but i still bet too much. he folds.

Hand 4 - omaha again in the sb. Nelson raises to 1.50 on button and I call with JJT3ds as does the bb. Flop with KQ9, 2 diamonds which i don't have. I check call nelson's pot bet, bb folds. turn is offsuit 2. I lead for $20 into $15 pot. He had about 70 behind him to start the hand. I'm willing to call all in but now i see a good card, i'm not folding and don't want him to check behind. He calls. River is offsuit 6. I bet 20 again. He thinks and thinks and actually flips over his hand to get a reaction from me (we don't adhere to "all in" rule for showing) but obviously he's not raising since i would know what he has. He had K6dTx for gutshot to same straight and flush draw on flop ut has rivered two pair. He calls as i think he was getting frustrated against me and he knew he lost. everyone else knew he lost too.

In the end, up $123 in a $20 buy in game, not too shabby. I was sick today so I didn't play. I completed the WH bonus too so for only about 7 or so hours, i'm up about $220. Can't complain so far. I will try to take poker more seriously this month with hours which hopefully includes updating this journal mainly for my own sake.

I wish the game was always this easy. I've put in 2 sessions recently, for a total of 1 hour at plo100 and i'm up a little more than $300. Why only an hour? Well, i've been sick since late saturday night so I decided not to really play in that condition. I tried to play a little on monday since i was feeling better but party was crashing all over the place and I had to quit after 15 minutes, 28 hands. I did get this hand while i was there.

no doubt things went my way. Currently for the month, i'm making about $100 an hour playing plo100. Too bad that rate isn't over more than 3.5 hours. Still a good start.

I'm moving this journal back to the journal section as I think i'm gonna play some holdem soon. Plus apparently some people (kenny) didn't know where the hell to find my journal anymore. It will still have a bunch of omaha in it.

Had a $50 buy in tourney at my house on saturday. 1 hour rounds with 5k in chips and 25/50 blinds to start with 1 rebuy and an addon. We were trying to make it a skillful game rather than a crapshoot.

By the end of the first two rounds when rebuys ended and add ons were an option, i had a monster chip lead of about 27k in chips, not rebuying or adding on. I had 2 sets in multiway pots that held up and a oesd that turned into the nut straight vs a flopped lower straight. There was really only 1 player that I was gonna have problems with as he's a much more experienced tourney player (actually making some big cashes in decent events in AC and Vegas) and he was seated to my left, in the bb when i was the button, so absolutely terrible spot. I thought he was making a move on me when he suspected i was making a move when he actually flopped two shit pair from the bb. I doubled him up, making him even in chips with me. I then went completely card dead for 4 hours. 4 hours!!!!! He was still pretty much in the same position on the final table (16 started) and the only hands that i got was QQ that got all in against QQ for a split and TT that got all in vs QQ on the bubble. I finished 5th for no money and the guy who was my best rival took it down.

I played and designated dealt for about 8 hours so i was mentally exhausted. I didn't play til the following night where i put in a short session for $300 in profit. So far this month, i've had 1 session of 15 min for +$100, 45 min session for +200, and 1 hour session for +300. Other than that, i have about 4-5 hours of plo for +100. I def can't complain but i really need to put in some time but things either come up or I'm not in the right mental state to play.

I loved that hand. He slowplays like i'm gonna pay him off with a lower flush or he tries to check raise his vunerable full house. I hit a great river card obviously and bust him. The other two instantly folded so i didn't lose any value by raising instead of cold calling his raise.

This is me being a fucking moron. The table popped up and i accidentally hit raise preflop to min raise. Then, i felt like i had to take a stab at the pot and lost $30 over this stupid situation.

I'm making about $60 an hour this month. Doubt i can keep that up but lets see if I can actually put in hours.

been bonus whoring some casinos and finished 5 of them playing blackjack for about for about $250 in profit for about 12 hours of work. can't complain. nice change of pace too. I was actually going down in the william hill casino and decided since it was a no risk bonus, i was down over half my bonus. Then i upped the bet to 4 GBP after losing a few hands in a row and got 88 against a dealer 3. I had to split, got crap on one, got a 3 on the other, doulbed and got crap. However, I willed the dealer to bust and i won a nice pot. I then ran it up and made money over the bonus

Played some plo100 on party. The tables were shit and broke early when i was down 30. then when i tried to play again, my friend was playing and we are banned from being on the same table since 1 time 2 years ago he logged in as me to sign me up for a tourney in time. I will have my new account available soon so that won't be a problem. Put in a quick session after he quit. I won 125 early but then bled out a lot calling raising into big pots with big pairs and such against someone dying to give away his money and missed every time. Finished up 75 so 45 overall in poker.

This was the first hand at this table but i played against this guy in the past and he's tried non full pot bet bluffs against me in the past and i've picked him off. I was willing to call a full pot bet too. The same situation came up later in the session and he just checked behind with 2 medium pair. I don't know if he's given up on bluffing me like that or he only does it when he has absolutely nothing and can't win a showdown.

Going out to a friends tonight to drink and have some fun so no playing tonight. I'm still not putting in enough hours but i'm winning at a nice clip which is good and bad. The good is obviously i'm making money. The bad is i know i could make so much more if i actually played more. i'm still working on that and will probably be working on that for a while.

it was $2 hands of blackjack and yes, it definitely sucked. i lost $100 after the bonus so i had $225 in there with the bonus and lost it all. Only $100 was my own money.
