I would either bet the flop every time no matter what I had (even if it was a monster), or you just have to start check raising him with nothing once in awhile. If he knows and respects you he will fold to your check raise. In your example I would bet that flop almost every time unless there was another caller. In addition I would consider raising a little higher w/AK I hate getting called w/ it out of position.
