He said he had KK after, should I have called his re-raise?

If you want to trap him, then yes, just call the reraise.

However, you still won a sizable pot here (about 30 BB net). That is a lot more than you will get on average. Also a lot of guys will push KK to your reraise, so you may win a stack here occasionally. I'd prefer you play it straightforward than try to get tricky, especially at 25NL.

If he had KK then he's an idiot for playing it the way that he did.

Your play, while yes screaming AA to an observant opponent, is the standard line and is profitable. Also he could be re-raising with other hands here, QQ, JJ, AK, even worse if he's a worse player, so you can't call as you won't really know where you stand on the fop.
