I probably wouldn't have played this preflop, but if I had, the only thing I would have done differently is raise the flop to see where I stood. If he just calls the raise it is hard to know where you stand, but if he reraises you get out cheaply figuring he has an overpair or set. After raising the flop, I would have raised again on the turn hoping for a call - or if he has a monster, a reraise so I can at least think about folding (though it would be hard). It's really hard to get away from that on the river, and you'd have probably lost your stack even if you played it differently. Take all of this with a grain of salt, I'm new here.

I can't believe you called an UTG raise preflop with K9 in the worst possible position. You have to fold the river. Your hand is pretty obvious, if he has AK he's only calling, not raising.

Don't play the sawmill against a raise (or at all).

Oh and he played his hand perfectly IMO.

There is no situation on earth where you should have played K9s for a raise. And then, even worse, to do it from the SB, the worst possible position. That's a HUGE leak. If I see you do that you get a fish note, just like that.
"Just to see a flop" is an okay thing with a decent hand WHEN IN POSITION. But you don't have a decent hand, and you don't have position. Unless you flop a flush, what are you hoping to hit against his raise? An out of position draw?

And then you compound it with the worst possible play on the flop...the check call from out of position. Do you think your 9 is good? If so, raise it. If not, fold it. Your hand isn't likely to improve, so find out where you are.

Then it does improve. And for the first and only time in the hand you are likely to have the best hand. And you don't bet it.

I advise you drop down a limit and work on some of the basics.
