I first posted this in the low content section to let off some bad beat steam, but then I started thinking about it and I want to know if I misplayed it.
I ($66) open raise in EP with
for $3.
Short stack goes all in for $10.
BB ($69) flat calls. I think about pushing but I am a bit scared about the BB call, so I call to see a flop. BB has only been at the table for about 15 min and I did not observe anything significant about his play.
Flop ($29) is
. Beautiful. There is not a hand I can put him on that I am not way ahead of. I'm hoping he has AA or even better QQ. AK of clubs is the only thing I would be afraid of. He checks to me, I bet $10. He calls.
Turn ($49) is
. He checks. I push in for $47. He thinks for 2 seconds and calls.
River is
.
Villain shows
and wins $143 pot with the flush.
What could I have done differently? Push preflop and hope the BB doesn't have Aces?
I don't know if betting more on the flop would have made a difference since he called my allin pretty quickly on the turn. Or do you think that my underbet on the flop showed too much weakness and allowed him to think that his Q was good?
