there is a stat that id be really interested to learn. Im wondering how often i win the pot when an ace flops, and I DONT have one.

Its the predicament of every over aggressive player: Do I represent the ace too often? Id really like to know how often i win with 66 [or nothing at all] when i raise preflop and keep on firing at a board of AQxxx.

I know i win them fairly often, but folks often have things like A3 (which they limped with UTG of course!) and beat me.

So i guess what id like to do is somehow filter out the hands by flop,, and somehow isolate at all the hands where i
(a) raised preflop and
(b) flopped an ace, which
(c) I did NOT have

and see what my profits / playing looks like overall for that.

I cant figure out a way to do it- any suggestions?

You can do a) and c) but b) can't currently be done using the PTinterface - it may be posssible by direct querying of the DB by an external program but tetsuo would be the man to advise on that

I understand that the next full release of PT will allow you to analyse stuff like the precise make-up of the flop and how it fitted your hand..

Unless someone works out a way to query it automatically the only way you could find out this info is as follows:

Go to general info screen.

Filter as follows: raised pre-flop, bet on flop, specific hands (select all then manually remove all the Ax hands). Click OK

This shows you how often you raised pre-flop without an ace and then bet out on flop...you can also see how often you did the same and folded on flop.

On the game notes screen you can see what flops fell for all hands you were involved in - unfortunately the filters from the general info screen don't hold over onto this screen (a real pain).

So whilst most of the data is there and useful info can be gleaned it isn't a quick or easy process at the moment - sorry..
