On MVP's advice, going to take a shot at the fishies at Pacific.
Very first hand I play there at the very first table. $50 NL.
Post in the CO, get
[Qh]. 1 limper, Hero raises to $2.50, 3 callers: button, BB, limper. Hmm, gonna have to raise more in the future.
Pot is $10. Flop is AKx with two diamonds. BB has $12 left and pushes it all-in. Limper folds. Hero calls. Button folds. BB shows
[7d] and misses. Hero takes down a nice pot.
Nice start.
But the rest of the evening is pure craziness. I have no clue how to put any of these people on a hand.
I raise QQ and raise to 7xBB this time (too many callers of the 5xBB bet), get re-raised and re-re-raised. The first re-raise is pretty big, the second re-re-raise is the minimum. Somebody has to be on KK or AA right? No odds to play set it or forget it. I fold, and the reraiser also folds despite having decent odds. Was he on a total steal? Sheesh.
I get TT and call a raise to 4x. An EP limper now limpraises the minimum. The original raiser now re-re-raises to 18x. I have to dump it again. The EP limpraiser now FOLDS. WTF. Collusion? Incredible stupidity?
One guy, twice in three hands, throws out a big preflop raise and then checks on the flop INSTANTLY. I mean, I am seeing his check at the same time I am seeing the flop cards. The software is so bad that I'm not sure this means he actually instachecked, maybe he saw the cards before I did and thought for two seconds before checking. No clue what to make of this. I was only in one of those two hands. I have nothing on the flop and check behind. He checks the turn, I bet, he checkraises ALL-IN. Wtf. I fold of course with nothing.
Get JJ, raise it up, 1 caller in the BB. I bet full pot on the 2-suited rag flop and then 3/4 pot on the Q turn. River brings the third flush card and the BB INSTANTLY pushes all-in, about pot size. Kenny's read says call instapushes. But with just a pair of jacks and the obvious draw getting there I feel like I have to fold. Also, again, the software is so slow and random, maybe he thought for a second or two before pushing.
One dude is pushing all-in on the river about every 10-12 hands. He's overbetting pots. Total moron. Can't catch anything worth calling him down with. He check-raises me out of two or three pots when I throw out a bet on the button with nothing.
I raise AK, a shortstack reraises all-in, I call and get another caller. I win a smallish side pot but lose the main pot when the board is QxxAx and the shortie turns over AQ.
Raise AQ preflop to 7x, get 2 callers. Board is Q83, I bet the flop and get checkraised all-in by a semi-shorty. I decide I'm sick of this bullsh*t and call and of course he has Q8 (!!!) and I don't catch up.
Get KQs in LP, raise it to 5x first-in, and lose a bunch to a half stack who called with J4o in the BB and caught a 567K8 board.
Long story short, I lost more than a buy-in against the biggest morons ever. Grr....
