Obviously SB has the same hand as me but I have the nut flush freeroll. I considered calling for two reasons:

1. To get button to put more money in.
2. To disguise my hand to the SB so I can take the pot away on the river if the board pairs.

I considered pushing for two reasons:

1. Button could have a set and if I call he almost has odds to call too, and he's got position on me.
2. I am free-rolling against SB and the pot is big already.

Which is the better choice?

people don't drop a straight. push and get in when you are likely freerolling to a flush and higher straight. calling only gives him a chance to get away from his hand if a higher straight card, flush card or pair card hits on the river. The river is just gonna kill your action.

With a freeroll that big, I think you almost have to raise. You have a LOT of outs to win it vs. the obvious split hand if they don't have an A, and it's quite possible that SB has JT with improvement outs which really can't be as good as yours (I guess QQJT and KKJT may be a little ahead, but not much, and KQJT is way behind).

I've flat called occasionally in pots like this--for the same reasons you mention. But I have my doubts that it's a good play.

The situations where it MIGHT be is if you have a minimal freeroll (like KQJT with no flush draw here) and have some reason to believe that your opponent might have a bigger one himself. But even there, if you let draws in, you increase the probability of turning a split into a loss by allowing a set or flush draw to stay in the hand.

I really think you should almost always raise in this kind of situation.
