My buddy laughs at me when I say something about 2 years ago, like it was "the old days." I submit that there are not that many playing now that were playing 2 years ago.

I haven't played any tournaments in the last four or five months. Are you guys finding that play has changed, as it has in SNGs? Are they playing tighter now? Have you changed the way you play?

Trny's are very very LAG. A lot of Donks. raising pre flop with any 2 soooooted and any 2 connectors. More bluffing then I have ever seen.

Calling and pushing all in's on draws middle pair bottom pair.

It is really difficult adjusting. Only bad thing is when your TPTK is the best hand 90% of the time. That 10% reaches out and bites you.

I have found Stars to be better then the other sites.

The $2 trny that starstealer writes about is easy to cash in and the $4 180 max is not a bad game

I have found that for the cheap Stars tournaments, that since the money line is so easy to get to - people tend to be taking bigger and bigger risks. This might be because the people know they can sleep to the money line or whatever - but most of the times that I've been knocked out in the last two weeks have been some bad situations for my opponent - and they simply got lucky. The only reason I've been doing so well stems from this - most of the time - they simply don't get lucky.

Case in point - on Friday when I finished 15th - I got knocked out when a player bets an inside straight draw with one overcard against a likely pair or better ace.
