I played this hand at Poker Room. Is there a way to use a hand converter with Poker Room because I keep recieving errors when try to convert the hand using BisonBison hand converter.
Anyways, I had no hand history with the Villian as he just joined the table. This was a FR game but only the players shown are relavent.
Seat 1: Button ($46.90 in chips)
Seat 2: SB ($46.50 in chips)
Seat 3: Hero [ KD,AC ] ($54.20 in chips)
Seat 4: Villain ($18.85 in chips)
PRE-FLOP
Villain calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB calls $0.25, Hero checks.
I don't like raising with AK out of position. Should I have raised preflop, and what are your general guidelines for playing/raising with AK preflop?
FLOP [board cards 2D,4D,JD ] Pot = $2
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, Villain calls $1.50, Button folds, SB folds.
Should I have raise in this position on the flop with the 2nd nut flush draw?
TURN [board cards 2D,4D,JD,KS ] Pot = $5
mwgr5 bets $3, zinister09 calls $3.
RIVER [board cards 2D,4D,JD,KS,7H ] Pot = $11
mwgr5 bets $4, zinister09 bets $13.85 and is all-in, mwgr5 folds.
This was an odd position for me. Since the river was not a diamond, I thought the only way I would get a call was by raising a small amount. I think AJ or a worse King might call that bet. However, I was also afraid he had made the flush on the flop so this was kind of a blocking/probing for information bet. I think just checking opens the door for an all in bluff which would but me ina very difficult spot. That was my thought process, what's your move here?
SHOWDOWN
zinister09 wins $27.85.
Thanks for the help.
