I would have raised to 500. Nothing unusual. I imagine this is the first time you've open-limped 4-handed or less, so your limp here gives away your hand more than the raise. If it were headsup, then the open-limp is fine.

Like I said, slowplaying AA headsup is good sometimes. Like here.

Yes, EP, that's exactly the way I played the AA hand when the idiot caught his two pair on the river and then said I shouldn't slowplay AA. He had a 5% chance of winning, hit it, and then had the balls to say I played it wrong. How frustrating, as he shouldn't even have been around to say anything at all.

The point is to get the chips, not to win the hand. It always bears repeating. Even losing a hand that sets up a play later on is better than winning any single hand. It's about who gets ALL the chips.
