Flop OBV comes [7s] BB checks, MP bets 30 into 30 I raise to 180 and BB just shoves for 1k, MP instacalls... I think "WTF" and call. turn A river 2

MP shows JJ?? for JJJAT BB shows KQdd for TJQKA

No way this is low content if anyone finds a fold there, how crazy it might sound. I wasn't sure if the actual repliers in the thread were serious at all, but it has some deep analysis to it.

Maybe it is low-content in which case 2+2 players bluffed me with their uncomparable arrogance and got me intoo thinking this wasn't a no-brainer at high stakes..

I presume you cover but the stacks are similar in size, since you didn't talk about a side pot with the instacaller, nor mention a big differential.

limp preflop 3 handed: pot = $17.50.
when the action gets back around to you on flop (after your raise):

it costs you 1000-180=820 to call $2017.50, meaning you're getting 2.46 to 1. At 25.7% to win in the absolute worst possible theoretical situation you are only taking 2.89:1 odds. Instacall, as if you are not facing the absolute worst possible theoretical situation even half the time, you're making solid money off the call. And even when you are, you aren't losing a ton of money on the losing call ($174 if my math is right (1000 * 2.89/2.46)).

side note: yes, it's possible he could have no diamonds and give the flushdraw one more out. So, "worst possible" etc left in for comedic emphasis.

What were the actual stacks involved? I suspect the math is even more skewed in favor of calling than you report.
