I am very new to PLO so im just trying to learn this intresting game. I wonder about entering pots do you always raise? I have only played about 500 PLO hands and i tend to raise alot mostly pot or 3-5BB I play fairly LAGish but not extremly LAG though. Sometimes it feels abit strange to raise with 30-40% of the buyin and then fold after the flop cause usually you dont flop anything good either. I play Microlimit since im trying to learn so faar ive made about 5 buyins so it works pretty well.
I have read in some forums and a few pages of Bob Ciaffones book pot limit and no limt something whatever the book is named
Ive seen that some pepole say that you should play tight. I cant really understand why you should do that cause no hand has an big edge even if you hold the best PLO hand. So why not raise alot when you enter a pots? The only thing im concerned about tho is that raising alot costs alot and if you are folding alot after the flop it might become quite EV- in the end. Anyway when looking att diffrent sites its seems like those persons who raise alot are those ones sitting with the big stacks in the end.
This was just some toughts by an newbie. Any comments?
